Hello!

My name is Morgan Johnson I’m a Black Chicago based Illustrator who focuses on concept art, comics, and cover illustrations. For college I attended Columbia College Chicago and graduated May 2025. During my time at Columbia, I joined a Illustration based club called the Illustration Student Group (or ISG for short). I held a huge role in that club, I started working my way up from Student Outreach, to Graphics Team, to Chief of Finances, and now graduating as the Vice President of ISG. Outside of ISG, I’ve also appeared at C2E2 (‘24), Pocket-con (‘24), and INKfest (‘23, ‘24).
The reason why I started drawing in the first place was to visually express my imagination through my characters and comics. Art was also my first shot at expressing myself unapologetically before I do it in my everyday life. I remember drawing characters from the multitude of shows I used to watch as a kid. Those shows helped fuel my imagination, and motivate me to create my own stories. When I’m not drawing, I’m either reading a comic or manga, catching up on a show, or grinding it out on a video game.
